Archival Rolling and Storage Tubes

Archival Rolling and Storage Tubes are made from paper manufactured to meet rigorous standards set by the Library of Congress, the National Archives and the Image Permanence Institute (IPI). 

Our Archival Rolling and Storage Tubes are made from pulp that is acid-free and virtually lignin-free:

Kappa Method: 0-2*
Klaison Method: 1/4 of 1%

*The Library of Congress specifies a maximum Kappa number of 5 which converts to a lignin content of approximately 7/10 of 1% using the Klaison method. 

Water-resistant adhesive. No need for inside or outside lining. Will protect the contents against impurities and deterioration. For storage and shipping of textiles, tapestries, carpets, posters, large maps, blueprints, and certain artifacts. 

Color: Blue Gray. ph value: 7.0 to 8.0
Buffered against acid migration. Alkaline reserve approx. 2%
Tests: Certified to meet ANSI It9.16 photographic activity level test. 

CUSTOM CUTTING ARCHIVAL TUBE(S) TO YOUR LENGTH

We can custom cut 2", 3", 4 1/2",10", 12" and 13.9" diameter 10-foot tubes to your specifications. Please note, 12" and 13.9" diameter tubes are custom orders with longer lead times. You may purchase as little as a single tube to a full carton of 10-foot tubes. Please add $6.50 for each cut to obtain the lengths you require. 

We also offer pre-cut 3, 4, 6, and 8-foot lengths in the 3" diameter (min 10 tubes/carton) and 6" diameter (min 2 tubes/carton) tubes. 

Custom cutting is available only for 10-foot lengths.
